All crankshafts are produced “In House” entirely at our facility and go through the same “Manufacturing Procedures” as those we produce for the top NHRA and NASCAR Teams. We start with only the highest quality USA Made Timken Steel to build you the best possible crankshaft for your application. Crankshafts are BRYANT Racing’s ONLY product and we take pride in knowing they are the best. We continually strive to update and innovate every aspect of our crankshaft manufacture and development to maintain our standard as the industry leader for YOUR engine program.

What makes us unique

Your part begins with Your prints and/or Your specifications: engine type; stroke; pin and main journal diameters; number of counterweights; snout and keyway configuration. If we have an item number for it, (we have over 5000) your part is given a serial number for our computerized tracking system and enters production directly.

History

Sonny Bryant

The history of Bryant Racing starts with its Founder and Owner, Sonny Bryant who started out a fan and then became a racer himself. Once Sonny started racing, he quickly became a rising star in the Stock, Super Stock & Pro Stock divisions of the NHRA. During his racing career, Sonny won several National events and set speed and ET records along the way. When Sonny is asked why he stopped racing, his response is always “Because I didn’t like trying to get sponsors; I just wanted to find ways to make my car go faster!“. And that is precisely why Bryant Racing was started.

In addition to racing, Sonny started a race & automotive machine shop (BryantRacing) in 1973 and soon started engineering and building engines for other racers that in turn won races and set records. Sonny, being the perfectionist, was always looking for and wanting to use the best possible parts, which led to him actually producing a lot of his own parts and eventually crankshafts.

In 1983, Sonny developed and manufactured the first BRYANT Crankshaft and these crankshafts soon became the standard in racing! 39 years after starting Bryant Racing, Sonny still oversees all design, engineering and manufacturing of Bryant Racing Crankshafts. Sonny’s goal from the beginning was to make the best possible crankshaft, give his customers the best possible service and do it all for a fair price.

Our Team

Bryant Racing is a Family, both literally and figuratively. Many of our employees have been with Sonny for more than two decades and a few since the very beginning. Key personnel oversee all aspects of the production process and share their knowledge and experience with all employees. Within our facility, we have the technology and personnel to continually monitor and evaluate new materials, processes and both new and old crankshafts. The vast amount of knowledge, experience and dedication that our company has is impressive to say the least! In addition to the experienced employees, Sonny’s sister, son-in-law and dog “Gretchen” are also part of the staff.

Speaking of Gretchen, those of you that have visited us at the shop are aware that Gretchen keeps everyone in line, makes sure nobody is slacking, greets everybody with a bark and then promptly rolls over demanding a belly rub. She may sound vicious at first, but she just wants to show you her ball and is a lover.
