In the last few laps of the Martinsville 500, Alex Bowman took the lead back from Denny Hamlin after a the 11 car spun out of turn 3. Hamlin was sure Bowman did that on purpose as he prevented the 48 car from doing a post win celebration in front of the finish line.
One of many deliberate or accidental crashes, tensions are high going into the season finals at Phoenix. Kyle Larson and Chase Elliot having already locked in their championship 4 #1 and #2 seeds, Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin punched their tickets for a Chevy vs. Toyota finals.
