We are down to the Auto Club Final 11-15-15 to wrap up the 2015 NHRA Season and below is the recap of the races in St. Louis, Reading, Dallas and Vegas.
St. Louis 9-27-15 – TOP FUEL – Antron Brown (DSR) defeated Dave Connolly (Vandergriff Racing) in the Final Round. Brown got by Brittany Force (JFR) and Connolly got by Billy Torrence (Torrence Racing) in the Semi’s.
FUNNY CAR – Del Worsham (Kalitta) defeated Matt Hagan (DSR) in the Finals. Worsham advanced to the final knocking of Cruz Pedregon in the Semi and Hagan got by (DSR) teammate Ron Capps in the other Semi.
PRO STOCK – Drew Skillman defeated teammate Erica Enders in the Final.Skillman advanced beating Allen Johnson and Enders advanced by beating Bo Butner.
Reading 10-4-15 – TOP FUEL – Antron Brown (DSR) made 2 in a row when he defeated teammate Tony Schumacher (DSR) in the Final Round. Brown got by Larry Dixon (Vandergriff Racing) and Schumacher got by Brittany Force (JFR) in her 2nd straight Semi.
FUNNY CAR – Jack Beckman (DSR) stayed in the Championship hunt getting Chad Head (Head Racing) in the Final. Beckman defeated teammate Ron Capps (DSR) in his 2nd straight Semi and Head defeated John Bojec in the other Semi.
PRO STOCK – Chris McGaha defeated Greg Anderson (KB Racing) in the final after getting by Bo Butner in the Semi. Anderson got by Larry Morgan in the other Semi.
Dallas 10-18-15 – TOP FUEL – Richie Crampton (Lucas Racing) defeated Steve Torrence (Torrence Racing) in the Final Round. Crampton defeated points leader Antron Brown (DSR) and Torrence defeated Clay Millican (Stringer Racing) in the Semi’s.
FUNNY CAR – Points leader Del Worsham (Kalitta) defeated Jack Beckman (DSR) in the Final to keep his lead at 38 points. Worsham got by Ron Capps (DSR) in his 3rd straight Semi and Beckman defeated teammate Tommy Johnson Jr (DSR) in the their Semi.
PRO STOCK – Erica Enders (Elite) increased her points lead getting by Jonathan Gray (Gray Motorsports) in the Final. Enders beat teammate Drew Skillman and Gray got by Allen Johnson (Mopar) in the Semi’s.
Las Vegas 11-1-15 – TOP FUEL – Doug Kalitta (Kalitta) defeated Larry Dixon (Vandergriff Racing) in the Final. Kalitta defeated Antron Brown (DSR) who claimed the TOP FUEL Championship by advancing to the Semi Final and Dixon defeated Clay Millican (Stringer) in their Semi.
FUNNY CAR – Robert Hight (JFR) claimed his 2nd Wally of the season getting by Tommy Johnson Jr. (DSR) in the Final. Hight beat Chad Head (Head Racing) and Johnson Jr got by teammate Ron Capps (DSR) who reached his 4th straight Semi.
PRO STOCK – Erica Enders (Elite) took home the Vegas Wally and the 2015 Championship (2nd Straight) with her win in Las Vegas over Bo Butner. Enders beat her teammate Drew Skillman (Elite) and Butner defeated Vincent Nobile in the Semi’s.
