We had some great racing in Sonoma this past weekend and only one of Denver winners made the Final round to try and sweep the swing. Defending Top Fuel Champion Antron Brown reached Final only to fall to points leader Steve Torrence and his Capco crew! This was Brown’s 3rd Final in a row as he continues to work at Torrence’s points lead. J.R. Todd of Team Kalitta took home his 1st Funny Car Wally and becomes the 16th driver NHRA history to score victories in both Top Fuel and Funny Car!
TOP FUEL
Steve Torrence got by Antron Brown (DSR) in Final after getting by Brittany Force in the Semi. Brown reached the Final by beating Terry McMillen in their Semi.
FUNNY CAR
J.R. Todd defeated Tim Wilkerson in the Final. Todd got by Jack Beckman (DSR) and Wilkerson beat out Courtney Force (JFR) in the Semi’s.
PRO STOCK
Tanner Gray beat Bo Butner in the Final. Gray beat Drew Skillman and Butner beat Greg Anderson in the Semi’s.
