Had some great racing in St. Louis this past weekend and Countdown standings tightened up a bit! Congratulations to Shawn Langdon (DSR) and Jack Beckman (DSR) as they took home the Top Fuel and Funny Car Wally’s for the Don Schumacher Racing Sweep!
TOP FUEL
Shawn Langdon (DSR – RedFuel) took down teammate Tony Schumacher (DSR-Army) in the Final Round. Langdon defeated #1 qualifier Richie Crampton (Lucas) and Schumacher defeated JR Todd (Kalitta) in the Semi-final Rounds.
FUNNY CAR
Jack Beckman (DSR) defeated teammate Tommy Johnson Jr. (DSR) in the Final Round, after getting by his other teammate and Points leader Ron Capps in the Semi. Johnson Jr. defeated Tim Wilkerson in the other Semi.
PRO STOCK
Alex Laughlin (Gas Monkey) defeated Bo Butner (KB Racing) in the Final round for his 1 Pro Stock Wally. Laughlin defeated #1 qualifier Shane Gray in the Semi and Butner defeated teammate and Points Leader Jason Line (KB / Summit) in the other Semi.
