The 2015 Daytona 500 was a race for the ages, with 3 wide racing 8 cars deep for a number of laps near the end of the 200 lap race. All of the drivers and crews did a great job and it was great race to watch! Hendrick Motorsport car & drivers led 158 of the 200 laps, but it was Joey Logano who prevailed in the end winning his 1st Daytona 500. Jeff Gordon #24 started on the pole and led the most laps (87) in his final Daytona 500 start! Unfortunately for Gordon, he got caught up in the accident on the final lap of the race and eventually finished 33rd. Dale Earnhardt Jr., who had one of if not the fastest cars in field, led 32 laps before getting shuffled back with 19 laps remaining and managed to battle back and finish 3rd. Jimmie Johnson #88 led 39 laps during the race and finished 5th.
