Woo-Hoo,
The Problem Child wins her third consecutive race and is stretching out the points lead over the rest of the field!!
We qualified #1 with a 3.56 @ 247, not our normal stellar numbers but enough to get the job done on Saturday. Again we struggled with getting the o’ girl out of the gate and taking a set, water conditions have been less than smooth these first three races but Madd Maxx seems to always get her to the finish line ahead of the competition. Round one we faced off with the “Mav TV” Spirit of Texas bunch, they tried their best smack talking B.S. to try and get us off our game, they even purposely qualified last to get the match up with us in the first round and try and get back in the points hunt, can’t say I blame ’em but when you try to screw with the system it usually bites you in the a$$ and it did just that.. They psyched themselves out and red-lit away their 3.56 to our pedaling 3.70, Daryl did his standard reaction time and on to the finals we went against the “Speedco” Tequila Sunrise boat. Again the wind pushed the boat sideways on the holding rope but he managed to slide her back around for a 3.6 at just over 250 for the win. Couldn’t be prouder of this team and their hard work, they had the boat prepared each and every time way before the competition and that makes my job easier. Next up Augusta, GA for the Southern Nationals July 19-21 where the “Refuse to Lose” tour rolls on!!! We hope to get a chance to try out our new whiz-bang supercharger provided by Ron Hayes at The Blower Shop, Ronnie and I have worked together for over 20 years and we’re chomping at the bit to see what this new “Huffer” will do. A huge thanks to you all for your continued support, keep buying lotto tickets and selling what you sell so we can keep this hot rod afloat!!
Stay tuned,
Eddie Knox
