Welcome back for the 2015 NHRA Race Season. What a great start we had this past weekend in Pomona, the stands were packed and the racing was great!
Congratulations to Shawn Langdon, the Alan Johnson Racing crew and everybody with the Knuckle Sandwich TF Dragster. With a crazy month leading up to the start of the season for the Alan Johnson Racing team and the departure of Al-anabi backing, the team landed Guy Fieri and Knuckle Sandwich for at least the first 2 races of the season and did they ever come out swinging! Langdon and the crew were flying all weekend and landed the #1 qualifying spot with a 3.700 ET @ 328.30 mph pass in their 3rd (turned out to be the final) qualifying run on Saturday. The Knuckle sandwich team carried that momentum through to Sunday to take home the Wally!
Congratulations to Defending Champion Matt Hagan and his Mopar/Rocky Boots crew for picking up where they left off last season. The team rebounded from a spectacular engine explosion in qualifying and battled hard from the 12 spot to take home the Winternational Wally!
Congratulations to Jason Line and his KB Racing team on a great weekend. They had a consistent car and Jason did a great job lights, which equals win lights. Jason and the team were rewarded with Pro Stock Wally!
