Not as much bumping and rubbing as I thought I would see but it was a great race! Jeff Gordon in the #24 finished 2nd and missed out on the Final Race of Chase, when Newman dove hard into the last turn and used Kyle Larson as a buffer to hold it through the corner. With this move, Newman sent Larson into the wall and picked up the 1 spot he needed to advance and knocked out Gordon.
