Congratulations to Chase Elliott #9 of Hendrick Motorsports, as he is the 1st driver to punch his ticket into the Round of 8 with his Victory at Dover on 10-7-18! With the victory, Chase will be stress free in Talladega and Kansas!
The week before at the New road course in Charlotte, we saw a crazy end to the race and the Round of 16. Jimmie Johnson #48 was battling for the win with Martin Truex Jr. that resulted in spinning out both drivers just before the finish and eliminating Johnson from the Playoffs. Tough break but what and ending to that race! Other drivers eliminated Austin Dillon #3 of RCR, Denny Hamlin and Erik Jones.
