New racing surface in Texas, similar result with Jimmie Johnson in his #48 Hendrick Motorsports Chevy winning for the 7th time! Congratulations to Jimmie, his crew and HMS on a great run! Johnson took the checkered flag followed by “Surprise” Kyle Larson in the #42 Ganassi Racing after both drivers had to start from the rear of the field and battle their way to the front. This finish was Larson’s 4th second place already this season. You add his victory from a couple of weeks ago in Fontana and it is no wonder he is points leader! With Johnson and Larson finishing 1-2, it gave Bryant Racing its second 1-2 finish of the season! Dale Earnhardt Jr. #88 (HMS) finished 5th, Jaime McMurray #1 (Ganassi) finished 7th and Chase Elliott #24 (HMS) finished 9th giving Bryant Racing 5 of the Top 10. It was a good weekend!
