The Auto Club Finals this past weekend in Pomona was filled with drama, great racing and 3 new Champions! Congratulations to all the competitors, teams, sponsors and fans on a great 2014 season! Congratulations to Morgan Lucas, Matt Hagan and Erica Enders-Stevens on the victories in Pomona!
TOP FUEL
Morgan Lucas ran the 2nd fastest ET in Top Fuel history with his 3.704 @ 325.14 as he defeated Tony Schumacher (2014 Top Fuel Champion) in the finals. Lucas defeated Antron Brown in the Semi and Schumacher got by J.R. Todd in the other Semi.
FUNNY CAR
Matt Hagan (2014 Funny Car Champion) defeated John Force (Defending Funny Car Champion & 2014 Runner-up) in the Final. Hagan beat teammate Tommy Johnson Jr in their Semi and Force got by #1 qualifier Alexis DeJoria in the other Semi.
PRO STOCK – Battle for the Pomona Wally and the 2014 Championship!
The Pro Stock Championship came down to the last race of the 2014 season with Erica Enders-Stevens facing off against Jason Line in a WINNER TAKE ALL race! In the pressure pakced moment both drivers red-lighted, but Jason Line left first resulting in a victory for Enders-Stevens.
Enders-Stevens defeated Jonathan Gray in 1 semi and Line defeated Jeg Coughlin Jr in the other Semi.
