In the rain soaked, rain delayed and rain postponed event in Brainerd, Top Fuel was the only class to hand out a Wally. Congratulations to Morgan Lucas and his crew on their victory! The final round of Funny Car will be decided in Indy between John Force and Ron Capps. Pro Stock will be finishing up the Semi-Final rounds between Nobile & Coughlin and Line & River and then the Final round.
TOP FUEL – Morgan Lucas defeated Doug Kalitta in the Final round. Lucas got by #1 qualifier Antron Brown in their Semi and Kalitta defeated Tony Schumacher in the other Semi.
FUNNY CAR – #1 qualifier John Force defeated Tommy Johnson Jr. the one Semi and Ron Capps beat Alexis Dejoria in the other Semi. Setting up the Force – Capps clash in Indy. Both drivers have a chance at winning 3 different events (Brainerd Final, Traxxus Shootout and US Nationals) in 1 weekend!
PRO STOCK – Vincent Nobile squares off against Jeg Coughlin and Jason Line squares off against Dave River in the Semi-Finals in Indy.
